I'm sitting here in my office, dressed for a somewhat cool winter day - boots, jeans and a turtleneck sweater (no jacket). And I'm sweltering. I've turned on my fan and I have the window open and it's still HOT AS HADES. This is not winter weather. This is late September, early October weather at worst. Where is the cold? Where is the jacket & scarf weather? Oh, that's right ... Global Warming.
So to all of you peeps in the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, there is one Californian who wishes she could trade places with you. I would gladly endure 10 inches of snow or more right about now. And yeah, I do know what I would be getting myself into - eight winters in Pittsburgh gave me a pretty good inkling of what that weather is really like and yes, I welcome it. I relish it. I wish.
At least we're going to Seattle in a couple of weeks. I hear it's snowing there again. Maybe, just maybe, the weather will still be "nasty" when we go and I can watch those beautiful white flakes fall from the sky of our room at the Westin. A girl can dream.
And here my sister is taunting me with pictures of her front yard.
